Important Safety Notice
The evSense System is a driver-assistance system, not an autonomous-driving system. Remain attentive and ready to take control immediately with the joystick or other manual controls.
The evSense System powers obstacle detection, Co-Pilot, Co-Pilot+, Waypoints, and Pathfinder.
Performance can be affected by:
- Very low obstacles, shallow steps, curbs, speed bumps, and high objects close to the vehicle.
- Traffic lights, grass surfaces, tall grass, and overhanging plants.
- Glass, mirrors, polished metal, black marble, water, potholes, and irregular edges.
- Fast-moving vehicles or people entering the path suddenly.
- Slopes, steps, curbs, drop-offs, and areas behind the vehicle.
Clean LiDAR, ToF, and camera lenses with pure-water wipes only. Do not use alcohol, alcohol-based cleaners, abrasive materials, or abrasive tools.
¶ Co-Pilot and Co-Pilot+
- Co-Pilot can detect obstacles and stop the vehicle within the system's detection limits.
- Co-Pilot+ can assist with steering around obstacles while following the driver's directional input.
- Wait for evSense initialization before selecting either mode.
- If a phantom obstacle causes an unexpected stop or path, switch to Manual Mode, move away, and re-engage assistance when safe.
¶ Waypoints and Pathfinder
Waypoints and Pathfinder require continuous supervision. Mapping quality can be affected by featureless spaces, environmental changes, moving obstacles, tight areas, and outdoor environments.
