- The optimal storage temperature for the battery is 0°C (32°F) to 25°C (77°F), and the optimal storage charge level is 30% to 50%.
- If you plan to leave the vehicle unused for an extended period, charge the battery to approximately 50%, remove it from the vehicle, and store it separately in an environment with a temperature of 0°C (32°F) to 25°C (77°F) and humidity of 8% to 40%.
- Check the battery level every 1-2 months and perform one full charge and discharge cycle to maintain battery health. If you need to continue storing the battery, recharge it to approximately 50% again.
- Avoid storing the battery at full charge or completely depleted for a long period. Do not leave it in excessively high or low temperatures, as this will accelerate ageing, reduce performance, and may cause permanent damage.
Future software updates will include the feature to turn off the Bluetooth connection upon power-off.
When the vehicle is powered off, the Bluetooth module stays active in the background and continues to use a small amount of battery. Standby consumption every 24 hours is approximately 2% to 3% for the long-range battery and 4% to 6% for the aviation battery. Bluetooth cannot currently be turned off manually.
To stop the drain completely, remove the battery from the vehicle.
¶ Storing and Using Multiple Batteries
For the best results when using more than one battery:
- Rotate your batteries regularly. Switch between them daily or monthly, whichever works best for you. This helps both batteries age at the same rate and stay "active," so you avoid the performance decline that happens when a battery sits unused for too long.
- Store spare batteries at 40 to 60% charge, in a cool, dry place. Try not to leave a battery fully charged or fully drained for long periods, as high or low charge levels (especially combined with heat) can speed up battery aging.
- Recharge before switching back. If you rotate batteries monthly, fully charge the spare battery before using it again. This lets it re-calibrate its power readings and correct any inaccuracies caused by long storage. If you ever notice the battery percentage seems off, simply charging it to full will trigger this calibration automatically.
