After the vehicle wakes from sleep, evSense may take a while to load. It may remain stuck at a percentage or display an “evSense not ready” message when you try to drive in Co-pilot or Co-pilot+ modes. When this happens:
- Only Manual mode is available.
- The vehicle cannot be switched to Co-Pilot or Co-Pilot+ mode.
- Live View does not display a map, and the entire screen appears cyan blue.
- Restarting the device may not resolve the issue.
Note: This issue mainly affects earlier software versions, as recent versions have optimised this behaviour. If your unit has not been updated to the latest version, please update it using the Guide to Update Your Device.
Make sure that your device is on the latest firmware.
- After the vehicle powers on, please wait for evSense to finish loading. You will see a progress circle on the homepage.
- Short-press or long-press the C button on the armrest.
- Check whether an “evSense not ready” message appears and the vehicle remains unable to switch to Co-Pilot or Co-Pilot+ mode.
- Open Live View and check whether the map is missing and the entire screen is cyan blue.
- Restart the vehicle and allow evSense time to finish loading.
- If evSense remains stuck at the same percentage after a long time or still shows “not ready”, and waking the vehicle from sleep again does not allow it to recover without a full restart, proceed with the steps below.
Make sure that your device is on the latest firmware.
- Try restarting the vehicle and wait for evSense to finish loading.
- If evSense loads normally, no further action is needed.
- If evSense still does not load, adjust the Vehicle Buffers:
- Go to Settings > evSense > Vehicle Clearance.
- Scroll down and reduce the Left, Right, Front, and Back buffers.
- Wait for the Vehicle Buffers to finish updating.
- Restart the vehicle and check whether evSense finishes loading.
- Once evSense is loading normally again, return to Settings > evSense > Vehicle Clearance and restore the buffers to your preferred values.
- If evSense still does not load:
- Take a photo or video showing the error.
- Immediately submit an Issue Report from the vehicle by using Guide to Upload Logs via Vehicle for Troubleshooting.
- Contact support@strutt.inc so we can investigate the issue and provide a suitable solution.
