In evSense driving modes such as Co-Pilot and Co-Pilot+ modes, the vehicle repeatedly stops when travelling down a ramp.
Note: This mainly affects earlier software versions. Recent versions have improved this behavior. If the vehicle has not been updated, follow the Guide to Update Your Device.
In Live View, dots appear in front of the vehicle, indicating that the ramp is being detected as an obstacle.
- Temporarily switch to Manual Mode and drive down the ramp. Haptic feedback from the joystick is normal in this situation.
- Ask a caregiver or trusted individual to assist using the Strutt App.
- For the safety of the seated individual, enable Joystick Lock in the Strutt App (optional). This prevents the seated individual from accidentally pushing the joystick.
- Switch the vehicle to Manual Mode, then use the Strutt App to remotely drive down or up the ramp.
- If the issue persists, submit an Issue Report from the vehicle (see Guide to Upload Logs via Vehicle for Troubleshooting) and photograph the surroundings and the ramp, the proceed to contact support@strutt.inc.
Earlier software versions were not fully optimized to identify and travel down ramps. The sensors can detect the ramp itself as an obstacle. Later software versions continue to improve ramp-descent behavior in Co-Pilot and Co-Pilot+.
